Recordings

We’re delighted to present our first professional video recording, made possible by the kind support of the Royal Academy of Music and the Voces8 Foundation.

Keler Tsoler (arranged by Lucine) is a traditional Armenian love song by Komitas (1869-1935) from the perspective of a young woman who spots a blond young man walking in the fields. She calls to him and fantasises about him as he glistens under the sun.

Lucine’s arrangement of Monteverdi’s ‘Si dolce è’l tormento’, recorded live at the Eglise Saint-Pierre in Carennac as part of the Ferrandou Musique Festival. Original text by Carlo Milanuzzi. Translation adapted by Nathan Giorgetti.

"From the gateway to the East, she rose shimmering in the sky; softly colouring the clouds, the brightly shining Dawn;" are the first lines of Caccini's (1551-1618) love song Dalla Porta d’Oriente, which likens the beauty of a young maiden to the sunrise.

Chinar es is a poignant traditional love song by Komitas, arranged here by Lucine. It evokes the image of a plane tree leaning away from home, a powerful symbol of yearning, vulnerability, and resilience.
